Helicopter NYC Tours editorial · Updated
Downtown Manhattan Heliport: Departure & Directions
The six Manhattan tours list 6 East River Piers, New York, NY 10004 as their meeting point. Use the operator’s confirmation for the entrance, check-in time and day-of-flight instructions; a map pin alone is not a boarding instruction.

Where the departure point is
Downtown Skyport publishes the same 6 East River Piers address as the supplied city-tour catalog. It is on Lower Manhattan’s East River waterfront, not at a New Jersey airport and not in Midtown. Plan ground travel to the actual address before comparing flight departure times.
The separate Hamptons picnic listing gives New York City as its origin without an equally specific confirmed check-in address. Do not automatically send Hamptons guests to the city sightseeing meeting point. Ask Perfect Picnic for the confirmed departure arrangements.
Orient yourself before leaving
Downtown Skyport’s location guidance references the Financial District, Pier 11 and nearby South Ferry and Whitehall transit access. These are orientation points, not a guarantee of a particular train service on your date. Use a current transit planner for the final walking route and any service changes.
Allow time for the walk from your station or drop-off point, locating the correct entrance and operator check-in. Do not interpret flight departure time as the time to arrive at the waterfront. We have not verified a required early-arrival interval for this supplier; the booking confirmation should provide it.
- Save the operator’s exact address and entrance instructions.
- Check current transit service and the final walking route.
- Confirm whether luggage can be brought or stored.
- Ask about vehicle drop-off and parking rather than assuming onsite parking.
- Keep the operator’s day-of-travel contact from your confirmation.
Operating hours are not your booked departure
When reviewed on October 25, 2026, Downtown Skyport’s heliport-information page stated tourist flights were permitted 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and no tourist flights were permitted on Sundays. These are the heliport’s published restrictions, not our timetable or evidence of available seats.
Hours and permissions can change. Read the linked heliport page and obtain confirmation for your particular date. A late-evening tour advertised at another departure point does not establish night-flight availability from this heliport.
Bad weather and late arrival
Before traveling, check the operator’s message and weather procedure. Ask who contacts you, when a decision is made and whether you should still arrive for check-in. Do not decide that a cloudy forecast automatically means cancellation, or that a sunny forecast guarantees a flight.
The operator’s late-arrival, rescheduling and refund rules have not been independently established here. Read the selected listing before booking and use the confirmation for assistance; this website cannot move your reservation.

Catalog routes, prices and inclusions reflect owner-supplied FareHarbor records updated October 25, 2026, not a live checkout audit.
